• The cause of wrinkle formation and skin dryness
Skin wrinkles are caused by intrinsic ageing due to physiological factors and extrinsic ageing due to ultraviolet rays (photoageing). A characteristic of ageing skin is a significantly reduced skin elasticity due to a decrease in collagen and elastic fibres in the dermis. In addition, the skin becomes dry due to reduced sebum secretion and accelerated natural moisturising factor metabolism, and it is for these reasons that wrinkles develop in the skin.
